The Nsuta Golf and Country Club has been nominated by members as the next host of the Captain One Golf Society monthly medal on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
The golf club which hosted the maiden event of the Captain One Golf Society championship was unanimously agreed by members of the society after a successful event in Takoradi for the February edition of the monthly medal.
The competition secretary, Solomon Harvey, said four new golfers qualified to join the society while four other members were also disqualified for playing wrong sequence in the competition.
He said the newly qualified members were P. Korsah, S.F Essuman, T. Tamakloe, Derrick Arthur while the disqualified members were; Fred Boateng, Paul Abu, BawaMubarack and Prince Amponsah.
However, after playing 18-holes at the Takoradi Sports Club, P. Korsah finished first with 65points followed by TarciNaa also with 65points but lost on countback with Naomi Opoku finishing third with 66points.
Gina Loupiac returned with a score of 68points to finish fourth with S.F Essuman also finishing fifth with 68points and also lost on countback while Fred Owusu finished fifth with 69points.
The monthly medal is a competition organised every month after their flagship event, Captain One Invitational Championship in January as part of activities of the group.
Harvey explained that the competition was for all members of the society and added that interested golfers who wish to be part of the group can join any of the monthly medal events which would serve as a qualifier for them.
He noted that points would be accumulated for all members who play in the monthly medal and the overall winner with more accumulated points would be awarded at the main event in January 2020.
