Daniel Odoom defied all odds to win the March edition of the Captain One Golf Society monthly medal played at the Nsuta Golf and Country Club in the Western Region.
Odoom led over 30 golfers in the competition and returned with a net score of 70points after playing 18-holes.
He was closely followed by Musa Bukari with 72points while FloriaHurtobise, Agnes Adams and AbubakarNafiu all finished third with 74points but Floria led the trio on countback.
Defending Champion in the Captain One Golf Society Invitational Charity Championship, Prince Amponsah finished sixth with 76points while the current champion in the 2018 monthly medal James Akwaboah also finished 10th with 78points.
Meanwhile, TarciNaa leads the leaderboard for the monthly medal with a total of 23points after two events in Tarkoradi and Nsuta followed by Daniel Odoom also with 23points.
AbubakarNafiu is third with 22points while Naomi Opoku is fourth with 18 points. Prince Amponsah is 11th with six points while James Akwaboah surprisingly occupies the 15th position with just two points.
Two members, Fred Owusu and Maxwell Danso did not return their cards hence did not earn any point while one player, Jonathan also qualified to join the society.
The next city to host the monthly medal will be announced later by the competition secretary of the society, Solomon Harvey who explained that the monthly medal is a competition organised every month after their flagship event, Captain One Invitational Championship in January as part of activities of the group.
He said the competition was for all members of the society and added that interested golfers who wish to be part of the group can join any of the monthly medal events which would serve as a qualifier for them.
He noted that points would be accumulated for all members who play in the monthly medal and the overall winner with more accumulated points would be awarded at the main event in January 2020.
